Happy Father’s Day…

to all you Dad’s out there. We took a ferry over to Lamma Island, one of the many (200-300) islands that make up Hong Kong. We had our personal patriarch Paul pick this day’s outing.

After 30 minutes on a ferry, we arrived to a popular tourist spot known as a car-less fishing village. The tour description is arrive at the northern point , hike 90 minutes to a southern town, have lunch and head home by ferry again. Sounds easy enough? Well, it would be if a particular sobbing family member wasn’t having “trouble breathing” cured only by a stop for ice cream. Well, miraculously, at the apex, a protein bar of all things helped energize this party and we made it to the restaurant without further incident. Thank you, Power Bar!

The towns had a different feel to them – not the frenetic pace that Hong Kongers are known to maintain. Kind of a laidback, Asian hippy feel. Lots of chilled out mongrels moseying around the town.

Another site crossed off THE LIST!
